Research
Our division’s faculty combine clinical work with innovative research programs, advancing the new approaches to diagnosing and treating childhood cancer and blood diseases. Each researcher specializes in an area of oncology or hematology that holds the promise of improving outcomes for our patients. Their discoveries are refined in the lab, and some go on to be tested in clinical trials.
Our faculty direct eight basic science and translational research labs. Their groundbreaking work focuses on childhood leukemia, pediatric cancer immunotherapy, blood cell development (hematopoiesis), cancer cell proliferation, and the molecular mechanisms underlying bone marrow failure.
