Caring for Children
Our clinicians treat patients at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, ranked as one of the country’s best by U.S. News and World Report. Located on the campus of Stanford University, the hospital is home to the state-of-the-art Bass Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Diseases, where we provide our services.
With a fully integrated inpatient/outpatient environment and world-class faculty, fellows, and staff, the Bass Center provides an ideal environment for delivering the best possible care for children, adolescents, and young adults with blood diseases and cancer.
Our comprehensive center offers a wide range of services to our patients and coordinates care within one physical location. Each patient is cared for by a nurse coordinator and social worker, who partner with the medical team.
Specialists in anesthesia, pain management, nutrition, psychological treatment, rehabilitation, child life, genetic counseling, and fertility all work to support our patients’ health. An innovative immunotherapy program also serves our patients. The center provides a school program to enable children to continue their education outside the classroom. And our adolescent and young adult program offers specialty services to a unique population of patients.
Our services include multidisciplinary clinics for patients with specific conditions or needs. These clinics focus on:
- Health after Therapy
- Vascular Anomalies
- Histiocytic Disorders
We also manage outreach clinics throughout the wider San Francisco Bay Area, bringing cutting-edge treatment to patients outside the Stanford campus. In addition to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, our other California locations are:
- California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco
- John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek
- Outpatient Hematology Outreach Clinic, Capitola
